silicone sealent

Question
I am building some rock caves for my african chilids,and I have just run out of aquarium sealent. I do however have a tube of GE 100% silicone clear rubber sealent. It is for doors and windows, But it also says that it creates a watertight seal. Is this safe to use?

Thank you for your question. It sounds like a good project. I'm sorry, but I don't know how to answer your question. Is there an 800 number on the product you could call? Either that or go their web site and see if they have a customer service number.
