Balloon Belly Black Molly - White bubble on eye

Question
I have a 10 gallon aquarium with 2 balloon belly mollies and 5 platys in it.  My mollys are fairly new (about 1 month being in my tank)and one of them has what looks like a whitish bubble on it's eye. I have salt in the water, keep it clean, temp is from 76-78 degrees and feed them flakes and bloodworm.  Is this part of the ick disease that maybe just looks this way because it's on a black fish, or is it something else?

Answer
This sounds like an eye fungus. If it was ick it would be all over the fish and would be tiny white spots, almost like salt. Considering you say it is a whitish bubble, it sounds either like an eye fungus or an eye parasite. I would go to your local pet store and get some treatment that covers all eye conditions like fungus and parasites. The salt is good and the temp is good. Considering how well you keep your tank, the treatment should be successful and the fish should be back to normal in no time. Be sure to follow the directions exactly including the water change requirements. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help.
