Question
we have a small Betta keeper and I want to know how we clean the container?

Answer
Dear Sri,
Cleaning a Betta keeper is easy. Because these containers are quite small, I would do a 100% water change at least 3 times a week. Here's how-
~First it's best to have aged water for your betta(s) ready before changing their water. Take a clean or unused 1gal or smaller pitcher and fill with lukewarm water the night or even day before. Add the proper amount of water conditioner if your source water contains chlorine or chloramines (most do) Amquel is a very nice water conditioner! Now let the pitcher or jug sit next to your betta's home the day before his water change is due. Now it'll be equal in temperature to his water and ensured that chlorine and chloramine are removed!
-cleaning-
*Take a small cup (the cup the betta was sold it works well!)
If you don't have his original cup you can use a small coffee mug (which should be reserved for that use only) to carefully scoop your betta into for cleaning. Using a small net to guide him in helps! scoop just enough water to make your betta feel comfortable in his holding cup.
*Pour out all the water from the betta keeper
*rinse the gravel or pebbles if present. you can do this in the betta keeper
(Do not under any circumstance use chemicals or soap!!!)
*Rinse out his container also and wipe out with a paper towel if you desire
* Now add your aged water, straighten the gravel/plants
*Add your beloved betta back in carefully, try not to introduce too much of his cup water into his now fresh and unpolluted water in the betta keeper

And your done! Remember to keep your betta keeper in a warm place of your home because bettas thrive best in warm water.

I really hope this helps!
Best wishes,
Karen~
