Question
HI, I'm a first time pet fish owner. I bought my fish in Oct. He/She is in a 2 gallon tank. My question is how can I tell if my fish is a boy or girl, and how could I take proper care of my fish? I named it Mr. Seabrezze because I think it's a boy.

                          thank you

Answer
Hi Nae,
Usually males have small "pimples" on their gills in the breeding season. Females do not have these. Some people confuse this with ich.
I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your tank is too small for this fish. Goldfish need a minimum of 10 gallons each as they produce lots of waste. An efficient filter is also needed.

Regards,
Chloe.
