sick mexican walking fish!

Hi...
I'm a first time mexican walking fish owner and i've had mine now for a few months. But i have just noticed within the last few days that she has what i think maybe snail eggs stuck all over the gills area. I've taken the snails out but I was just wondering how i can fix it as it is making it hard for her to breathe.
Please help!

I doubt it is snail eggs.  Probably is ick, or some other fungus.  Does it appear to have been sprinkled with salt?
I would suggest fungus clear by jungle, read the back, it has several discriptions and pictures of common fungal problems.
Get your little buddy some meds, a.s.a.p.  Good luck!
