Answer
Hello,

It might be pregnant if all its other behavioural characteristics are normal, it is eating and swimming fine and doesn't show any secondary signs of disease or infection.

If your fish also has symptoms including any of the following then it could be a disease. These symptoms are: unbalanced swimming, raised scales, loss of appetite, gasping for breath, any appearance or dots/insects on its body and any signs of white cauliflower like growths on its body.

It may or may not have any of these symptoms if it is sick. Depending on which it has affects which medicine you should use. In general if it has any spots/insects you should use an antiparasite. If it has cauliflower like growths you should use an antifungal and anything in between should be treating with an antibacterial.

If you discover your fish is sick and need further help choosing a medication please feel free to contact me again.

I hope this helps.

Good-luck,
From Stephanie
