Odd looking fish

Question
Hi
I have recently acquired some new fish from a friend who didn't want them anymore. I have several species and there are some that am not sure of. I think that two of them are cherry barbs as they are pinky red in colour and are barb shaped. There is a bigger one that keeps bullying the smaller one, and the small one seems to find it harder to swim. I haven't been able to get a photo as the smaller one, now named tails, is very timid. It looks like Tails has tree parts to his/her tail rather than two. There are the normal two triangles that stick out, and then an extra bit on the side. It seems to be the same size, but sticking out the side of the part where the tail joins the body. Is this naturall? And will it are t the fish that much?

Answer
AJ,
It is very hard to figure out what kind of fish it is without a picture. It is natural for bigger fish to bully the smaller ones. They are setting up the pecking order so to speak. If you can get me a picture of the fish in question, I will be able to help you better.
