Question
I woke up one morning and found only one baby fish and no others. I have sunburst platies and a red and black platies I thought that these fish would have at least ten to fifteen babies. I found no dead can you help me please!!!

Answer
Dear Devin,
What probably happened to the babies is that the other fish ate them. This often happens with fish before you even realize it's happening. Next time one of your fish looks pregnant place her in a separate area such as a breeder's net or a plastic container that allows the babies to drop below and the mother can then be removed.  I have also had very good sucess by simply providing very dense areas of plants in the main aquarium and there the babies can hide once they are born and soon start to emerge once they have gotten some size and/or confidence that they can get away from the larger fish. Good Luck!
Hope this Helps!
