unstable parameters

recently i have probably finished cycling the tanks water and its been over 1 month, but now in the mornings i read 0ppm for the level of nitrites in the water but at night when i test the water the nitrite turns to 0.25ppm. what can i do?

Hi Kenny,
That is unusual. Kinda baffling at that. Is this a continuously occurring thing? Maybe by the evening you've fed your fish enough to produce the of nitrite reading. Just a thought.

Your tank may need more time to cycle. Just be patient and be sure to do water changes if your fish look stressed by the nitrites.
