Tank Care {tank stays cloudy}

My tank is a 20 or 30 gallons and the water stays cloudy even after I have added all cemicals and the ph stays high.     Nitrates are safe, nitrites are stressed, water is soft, alkalinity is 300+, ph- freshwater is7.8 to 8.4. I have done eveything I know to do.               Thank you Shirley

Hi Shirley,
Thank you for your letter. The water might contain minerals that make it cloudy, however, the most common cause of cloudy water is over feeding.
