my platys eyes are swelling

I noticed on Easter that the platy we have in our tank, one of his eyes was swelling, now both of his eyes are swollen out, what would cause this?  What can we do to help?

It might be pop-eye. You have to get your fish into another tank immediately (if you have one) and give it medication containing antibiotics. Here are some medications you can use: Melafix, Anti-Bacteria, Fungus Clear, E.M. tablets, Triple Sulfa, Maracyn, Maracyn-Two, or Anti-Medicated Fish Food. Hope this helps!
