Room that a pregnat fish needs

Hi i am in DESPERATE help i have a year old fish that is pregnant fish and i am wondering what i could do to make her feel comfortable please get back to me as soon as possible time is running out! I also want to know if the pregnant fish gains weight if it lays eggs..  thanks please help me.

Hey Christa,

If your tank is set up properly to house the adult fish, it does not need extra room. Pending the type and size and tank mates of this fish in particular, adjustments may be needed to keep things healthy, but because i dont know the specifics, i can't offer much help.

Usually, when a fish is ready to breed (in the case of live bearing fish, this is not true) they do seem to gain weight. Live bearing fish gain their weight prior to birthing, as well, but it's usually slower.
