White fish

Question
I have just come home to find that 1 of my sunset gourami's
colour is fading to white (normally yellow).  No fungus.
Also, my 2 angel fish are kind of tilted, not like a swim
bladder problem (I think). I cleaned the tank yesterday.
Temperature, ammonia, nitrite levels all fine.  The PH was a
little low, but not drastically.  Help!!!

Answer
Kerri,

Do you have a male and female Gourami? Sometimes with a breeding pair they will fade while breeding. Sometimes they just fade out and then their color comes out. Also, they can fade with age as well. As long as they are looking fine otherwise I would just keep an eye on them. Make sure you check for Nitrates as well. With the Angels, they are very unpredictable as to why they do what they do. What size tank are they in. They need a tank that is tall not long. Angel fish grow up not out. They also do better in larger numbers like 6 or so. Again, just keep an eye on them and if they start acting different, ie not eating swimming sideways or upside down then you have a problem. I am hoping you have a very large tank for the fish that you have. IF the tank is too small you will start having problems.
