Pregnant fantail

Question
We have noticed tody that one of our fantails is laying eggs and we are not too sure what we need to do?  Do we need to seperate the other fish from the tank as they seem to be trying to eat the eggs?  We have 4  fantails in a bio-orb tank.
Ps we have no idea about breeding fish so please explain in layman terms

kind regards
lottie

Answer
Hi Lottie;

Unless you have another tank to separate the fish from the eggs there really isn't anything you can do but let the fish eat the eggs. It isn't a bad thing really. Just seems yucky to most of us. It is actually good that she laid them because it means she will not have health problems or possibly die from being unable to expel her eggs.
