Molly/ick question

Question
Hi.  I am treating my 10 gallon aquarium with 4 mollies and one catfish in for ick.  I have done daily water changes of at least 20% and am using aquarisol and salt.  As I have a catfish, I can only add half the recommended salt to the tank.  Also am bumping up the temperature from 76 to 86 (Now at 82)
Woke up this morning to find babies.  Most seem okay, but one seems kind of weaker and smaller.  They are swimming fine.  I provided lots of plants for the cover, but am worried about the medication I am using.
Do you think it will harm the babies?  I can move them to a 2 gallon tank, but it has no filter and the heater stays at 76 (not adjustable).  It is more of a goldfish tank.  Can they stay in the big tank and be treated with the adults? Do I stop medicating?  The adults have it pretty bad, but I hear that at some point it gets worse before better.  I am trying to get the temp up, but my heater will raise it a bit at a time and won't let me raise it 4 degrees in one day.
Thanks!

Answer
While the babies can stay in the tank, you should keep in mind that the adults may eat the babies. It should be fine to continue to treat the fish, however, it is risky and can be very stressful. However, you have no other option. The only way to give the molly adults a chance is to continue to treat them. Also, it is a very good thing that you are raising the temperature, as ick tends to die at around 80 degrees. Continue to raise it to around 85. It is a tricky situation with your tank as it is hard to say what will happen. Ick can be a terrible disease and very stressful. It just depends on how strong your fish are in terms of if they will survive. I hope this helps. Good luck! Let me know if you need more help.
