Changing water conditioners

Question
Hi!
I am thinking about changing the brand of water conditioners for my freshwater tank. I am currently using API stress coat and stress zyme. Can I just switch to Seachem Prime and Stability? Or is there any precautions i should take when switching brands in case of bad chemical reactions? Thank you!

Answer
Hi Chi
I highly recommend Prime-great stuff.  Use it myself :)  Not sure what the Stability is, don't use that one.  I just looked it up, and don't bother with that either.  That and that stress zyme, cycle, they're just wastes of money really.  It's supposed to add the "beneficial bacteria" into your water to start the cycle process, but the bacteria is most likely already dead.  The only bacteria in a bottle that's any good is BioSpira.  It needs to be refrigerated, and it's expensive.  You only need to really use it when starting up a new tank.  No precautions that I can think of, just start using the Prime.  What's nice with that too, one bottle lasts a very very long time, so well worth the 9.00 a bottle.

Enjoy your weekend!
