Question
I have 2 fire mouths,1 pink convict,2 zebra convicts and an algae eater. My zebra convicts layed eggs and they hatched about 4 days ago. When they become free swimmers i was going to put them in two net breeders until they can defend their self.Am i doing the right thing? And how should raise them?

Answer
Hi Justin,
The convict fry (babies) really need their parents with them.
The best thing is to either get a tank seperator for the fry and parents, or take them all out into a different tank.

The fry should eat flake food but really make it like powder with your finger tips. The adults just eat whatever you normally feed them.
After a month or so the fry can eat regular food and all the convicts can be returned to the regular tank, or the seperator removed.
Good luck!
