Question
HELP!
My beta got stuck in some hair algae inside my tank as I was freeing him I
noticed that his eye got pulled out but is still attached.  The algae is still
tangled around that one eye.  My husband thinks I should just cut it off along
with the eye.  Is there any hope for our beta?  I have him seperated into a
makeshift hospital tank with water from the old tank and an air filter.
I hope we can save him but if I need to put him out of his misery what is the
best way?
thanks
Renee

Answer
Remove the whole thing with the eye. But some stress coat, and get an antibiotic for the open wound. The eye should heal, and there is in fact hope for this betta. Also get treatment for algae to remove this type of algae. If you do, most likely not, need to get him out of his misery, stick him the freezer.
