Angle Fish Tumor

Question
Hi i have marble pearl scale angle with what i think is a small tumor on it's lower lip. I'm very concerned that it will soon grow large enough to prevent the angle from eating. Is there anything i can do to stop the growth of the tumor, or completely get rid of the nasty thing? Also - can the other fish in my tank get it from the angle?

I hope you can help?  I don't want to lose the poor guy, I've had him for just over a year, and my girlfriend loves the poor thing!

Thank you for your time.
Chris

Answer
Hi Chris
What's it look like?  Size, color, shape, etc.
Any white stringy strands hanging off the fish?
Does it look like it's getting bigger?
How do the fins/tail look?  Intact or starting to fray or split?
How big is the tank?
How many and what other type of fish are in the tank?
Do you have a test kit?  If so, what's the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates readings?
