my fish is ill

Question
my fish seem to be sluggish, doesn't want to eat, allows me to hold it in my palm and it seem its scales are raised like it has some kind of rash. what is wrong with it and what can i do. i love it very much. i don't want it to die.

I'm so very sorry but it sounds to me like your poor fish has dropsy. Here you can see pictures and read a very informative article that explains it in detail.

Unfortunately there is no cure to dropsy once it reaches this stage your fish is in. I'm so sorry. Its a very sad thing. I wish you the best. Lets hope she will not suffer too long.
