Cichlid for tank

Hey david i wanted to get a cichlid for my 20 gallon tank and i have researched and i do not want babies so convicts are out so i was leaning towards an Acara cichlid or a blood parrot.  Which do you recommend i should get?

Hello Tie: Thank you for the question.  Either cichlid would be find for your tank.  Remember that 20 gallons is probably good for one cichlid or two small cichlids... Please do not buy a cichlid more then 3 inches long for a 20 gallon tank.  If you buy one ... then any cichlid would do...just keep in mind... 20 gallons is a small tank for a chichlid.  If you need some ideas for setting up your tank for a cichlid then I'd be happy to help... of the two you mention... i'd go for the acara...dave
