pregnant balloon mollie

Odd question for you...It looks as though one of my balloon mollies is in the process of giving birth.  It looks like the head of a baby fish ( with eyes ) is hanging out of it's body.  It has been like this since Thursday. The fish seems to be in a bit of distress, but is eating, etc.  If it is not a baby, what else could it be?  Thanks for info.

Hi Cindy:  isn't today Thursday??? has your mollie been like this for a week?  Try to raise the water temperature to about 78 - 82 degrees and see if that helps.... keep me posted... if its not a baby... it could be a parasite or just a weird anomaly... dave
