My Calico Fantail

Question
My fantail has swim bladder off and on and right now is acting a bit freaked out.  I put two new banana plants in it's bowl and wonder if that is causing the problems.  Usually there is only one plant.

Hi Norma:  Plants do not cause swim bladder... usually it is an intestinal blockage which causes the fish to lose buoyancy... If the fish is still eating I would feed it green peas and brine shrimp... and make sure it is pooping... because as soon as it passes the blockage it should start swimming pretty normal again... keep me posted... dave
