Question
I currently have a 30 gallon tank with 4 bala sharks, 2 neon rainbow fish, 2 tetras, 4 green cory cats and a clown pleco.  I also have a paradise fish kept in a fish bowl.  I want to add the paradise fish to the tank but am unsure if he is compatible with the other fish. Thanks for the help!

Answer
Hi Andrea,
You probably could put the paradise fish in your tank but watch out for any fighting since they can be territorial. It should have plants and a place to hide to make him feel secure.
One thing I did want to mention is the bala sharks.  I don't know if you are aware of how really large they can get.  Be sure to think about getting a very large tank (at least 72"long when they are fully grown)really soon since they will need alot of swimming room. They can get up to 16" long. It will begin to get very crowded in your tank and could cause problems with waste production and territory problems. Your other fish should be fine in your 30 gallon with the paradise fish.
Hope things work out well with the pradise fish!
