QuestionHi Chris,
Let me first thank you for taking the time to try and answer this question for me.
I have african cichlids and they are wonderful. But I have one which is about 4" and he has been recently been taking gravel in his mouth one by one and creating a large pile and removels the gravel until he gets to the bottom of the aquarium. Do you know why he is doing this. Is he trying to escape or has a problem.
Hope to hear from you since this is something I kinda concerened and actually find amuzing.
With Thanks,
PAulo
AnswerHi Paulo;
This is quite normal for cichlids. They dig areas in their territory to hide and breed. So don't worry. He is acting just like he should!
