tank limits

In a 55 gal aquarium, how many s.a. cichlids do you recommend? ie; oscars,jack d,firemouth,blk. con,red devils, green ter

Answer
One or one pair of mated cichlids.  Most of these fish get over one foot in length and will eventually kill everything else you put in the tank with them... If you want to keep S A Cichlids you need 100-200 gallons of water so that they can live in peace.
