re common pleco

I have got a common pleco had it for 2 weeks, couple of days ago i got another one a little smaller than first and now it has disappeared.

Hi Margaret,
So you still have the original pleco and the new one has disappeared? Its very unlikely that the larger pleco did anything to the smaller one. Since the pleco is new, fish often go into hiding until they adjust to their new environment. Make sure to check under and around all decorations, inside and out. Plecos are extremely good at hiding.

Also keep in mind the new pleco may have jumped out. I really hope not, its a sad sight find a fish that has jumped from their tank. But if you have any open spaces in your aquarium hood this is possible. Check all around your tank and nearby areas on the floor and under furniture.

Hopefully your pleco will just be hiding in just some clever spot.
