fish and bugs

Question
my fish tank has lots of fish but mostly cat fish and lately iv been seeing small pink bugs that seem to float in the water or stick to the side of the tank. my fish are also getting something on them that is pink and looks kind of furry. what are these bugs and are they the the cause of these pink spots?????

you have me stumped..
the only thing i can think of that is fuzzy is when left over food settles to the bottom of the tank and attaches to the glass.. it could look like bugs moving around in the current. I guess its possible it could attach to the fish as well..

this is only a guess i have never seen pink bugs before.
i'm sorry i cannot answer this but i like to be stumped every now and then
