Angelfish vs. 10 gallon aquarium

Question
Hello!
I have a 10 gallon aquarium. In the past, I've kept mostly guppies, and I'm ready for something new. Lately, I've been reading about freshwater fish and the angelfish has definitely caught my eye. I was wondering if I could keep 1 angelfish plus a few other small fish in the tank. And if I can, what types and how many of the smaller fish could I keep? Thanks!

Answer
Hi Brooke

Angelfish need to be kept in groups of 3 or more. These fish get large and need at least a 30 gallon tank. I have 7 Angels and all of them have 8" fin spans and are in a 125 gallon tank. A 10 gallon is fine for a few small fish, but not Angels.

Hope this helps, good luck!
