Question
I have a grommie, the other night I noticed a HUGE belly almost the size of a large marble or bouncey ball, I didnt see it before so I did not notice it getting bigger, it was just there, now the past few days its getting bigger, the fish eats just fine and seams to go potty fine. any ideas what's in there?
I can send you a picture if that would help?

Answer
Well, thank you for the question. If your fish does not seem to be in any distress, it may just be you have a very gravid female.  Meaning she may just be full of eggs.  This is no cause for worry, she will expel them in her own time, and if there is no willing male present they will just become a good source of food. However, if the fish does start to become distresses: Not eating, clamping the fins, swimming strangely, or not swimming much at all, then you may definitely have a need to be worried.  Let me know if this helps and keep me posted if the situation worsens.
