I asked about an oranda changing color late in life,from blue to orange,black and white and finally,at seven inches long,turning pure white. I forgot to add,the fish began to change indoors,in a large tank,but continued to change to snow white AFTER,he was moved to a 500 gallon outdoor pond,in the spring and summer.All fish in pond are very healthy,and even spawned this spring.

Answer
Hi Cindi;

White must be the color he is genetically programmed to be as an adult. Goldfish often change color several times over the course of their lives. Sometimes with very surprising results! As long as he is healthy and doing well I wouldn't worry.
