Question
Samantha Hello I am new to this site but think I will soon be here often. To start I am a single mother of 4 kids who love our 28 gal. fish tank that contains 4 neons 2 bettas and 2 ugly orange things. One of the four Neons is fat and I got themfor mother;s day back on mother's day. I noticed "it" was fat about a 1and a half ago. One of the guppies was fat and now it is not as fat for the last 2 weeks. Today it seems to be getting fat again andit is black on the bottom. I was told that ment she would be ready to have little ones. The catch is I was told my other guppie is a male and he is HUGE [bloated] so is there something wrong and none are having babies? If they R having babies how long are they pregnant and what do I do when the little ones arrive if I am home. My job keeps me away all day and some overnights!

Answer
Hi Misty,
It sounds to late to put her in a breeder tank to have the babies. She should have them soon. Make sure your tank is well planted to keep most  of the babies alive. If you want them all to you can put them in a smaller tank or a side breeder tank. To feed them you can just put flake food in a bag and crush until its in powder form for the little babies. It does sound as if they are going to have babies.
I hope I helped and you have any more questions you know what to do,
   Samantha
