HI-my question is general.  My son has 2 very large tanks and the power has been out for 20 hours.  We're in California and the temps are over 100 where he is. Do you know if there are battery run pumps and any ideas how to keep the water temp down till the power returns and his air conditioning comes back.

Hi Terre,
 Yikes.  If you can, get some bags of ice from the store (if they have any) and float those in the tanks.  Do not dump the ice into the tank water, keep it in the bag.

 Bait stores sell small battery run pumps that run on a couple of D-cells.
