How many oscars can fit?

Question
QUESTION: Can two oscars live in a 55 gallon tank that is long, not high? What type of decorations should I put in that oscars tank?

ANSWER: Hi Jared.
Only one oscar can fit in a 55 gallon tank.  Two Oscars need double that, and three you tripple that, etc.  If you put two Oscars in a 55 gallon tank, their growth will be stunted, their internal organs will have no room to grow, and eventually they will die.  Oscars are so nice, and intelligent, we must treat them well, as they are great pets, and we get so attached to them.
Also I would like to mention, never feed your Oscar feeder fish as feeder fish have no nutritional value, and most are full of disease.  It is best to feed him good quality food, flakes, pellets, and frozen food.  Always soak the pellets a little before feeding them to your Oscar, this is to prevent Swim Bladder Disease.  Feed him frozen cooked peas once a week, you can also feed him carrots, canned green beans that have been rinsed (You can also freeze the beans once they have been washed)  fresh cooked green beans are good too or you can buy them frozen)and broccoli, defrosted fresh water fish that we buy at the super market ( wash it well) and worms that have been cleaned.  To clean the worms put them in oats for a week.  They love insects such as crickets, ants, etc.  They also love fruit.  Vary his diet, so that he gets all the vitamins, and calcium he needs to be a healthy happy Oscar.
Always do your water changes every week with a good water conditioner, and check it often for ammonia.
Hope this information helps you.

QUESTION: Yes,but what type of decorations would u recomend

Answer
It's kind of difficult to decorate an Oscar's tank as he will rearrange it!  Driftwood, and round rocks may be used, making sure that he has nothing pointy where he could hurt himself.  If you live near a river, you may find nice rocks that you could use.  Boil them first to make sure they are clean before putting them into your tank.  He will as he gets older push the rocks and decorations around.  A nice background which you will find many to choose from at your pet store, and you could put in artificial silk plants, but be prepared he will re-decorate!!  I chose a nice beige colour gravel for mine which looks natural, and brings out the background I chose, and my Oscar.
