floating fish

QUESTION: i have just got a gold fish it looks sick and keeps floating up to the top can you help thanks wayne

ANSWER: Hi Wayne,
 Unfortunately it very likely is sick (goldfish are notorious for carrying all sorts of diseases) but it is really impossible for me to say which particular disease is causing the trouble.   Sorry.

Hi Wayne,
 Actually just about any other kind of fish would be better than a goldfish.  There are hundreds of kinds to choose from.  How large a tank do you have?
