driftwood for cichlids

Question
Right now I have a 36 gallon bow front aquarium with 20 Lake Malawi cichlids from about 2-6 inches. My current setup is a all rock setup. There are tons of caves, and tunnels. Do you think that it would be alright if I added driftwood along in the rocks.
Also, i'm not sure if one of my fish has a disease or not. The belly of my yellow lab is a little bit sunken in. It's been like that for a long time and he hasn't been that different. I'm guessing that he just hasn't gotten as much food. Have any ideas?
Thanks for your time and help.

Answer
Hi Jack,
Driftwood is okay but it has too be very clean. If you are getting it from the ocean there whould be salt on it so you whould have to wash the driftwood realy hard to get  all the salt off.

About you lab, I have noticed some labs that have inward bellies and never change. If your lab is eating fine and not spitting out food he dosen't have a diesiese called bloat. Bloat is a diesese that can be deadly. Fish get it because of their diet or being fed the same food over and over again. If a fish as bloat the fish will spit out the food and will have an inward bellie.
