hi brittany,how are you? im good, i was just wondering how do you know if a female platy is pragnant? and how long before birth? also 1 more thing how many babies with the female have?

A pregnant female platy will have a rather large stomach, and appear sort of "boxy". It shouldn't take longer than about 5 weeks for her to have her babies, 24 to 48 fry depending on the size of the female. Some may have more or less than that. The average is usually in between those numbers.
Don't forget to separate the parents from the babies, as the adults will sometimes eat the fry.
Do some research on platy breeding so you know how to take care of the babies properly.
