calico fantail fish

We just bought one calico fantail fish and we put him in a small fish bowl.  I've been reading that they should be in 25-30 gallon tanks?  Will our fish not do well in a small fish bowl?

Hey Sue!

Bowls are goldfish killers! You cant really fit an airsotne in, and the ammonia from the fish's waste will kill them as it is such a small bowl and an airstone just won't do!

Try getting a 20 gallon not a thirty.  20 gallons are big enough. Once he is settled in the bigger tank, get him a friend, goldfish like to be in pairs!
