My betta wont eat.

Question
I will give you some background information first. I have had my betta for about 10 months now. He was always lively, flaring, and making bubble nests. He always got excited when I shook his food container. About a month ago I bought him a 10 gallon tank because I thought he would like it better then his small 1.5 gallon bowl. I bought him lots of rocks and plants and a house to hide in. About 4 days after he moved into his new tank he seemed to be struggling to eat. He would nip at the food but didnt always swallow it. He ate perfectly fine before and I fed him about 3 pellets a day. I decided he might not like his big new tank so I moved him back to his smaller bowl where he was so happy before. He has stopped eating completely now and its been about a week and a half since he has ate anything. He is very inactive. He just lays on the bottom of the bowl and dosent even move for food anymore. He has also gotten pale. His temperature is always between 78-80 degrees. I have tried to feed him pellets and also blood worms and he wont budge for either. His water is always set out for over 24 hours before I do a water change. I have been treating him with betta fix for about 4 days now and still no change.   I need help and I dont know what else to do.

Answer
Hi Cassie,
Getting him a larger tank was a good move.  The temperature sounds perfect.  It is very possible that he is just getting old.  Unfortunately, bettas don't live very long.
