Do female betta fish like to look at mirrors? Is it healthy?

Answer
When a betta sees a reflection of themselves they usually try to fight it. This is a controversial subject because the effect on the betta fish from constantly flaring up and  trying to fight it's own reflection has not necessarily been proven to be harmful. There is no way that it could be considered "healthy", but some believe that it is very stressful for the fish and as every good fish keeper knows, you don't want to stress out your fish. My personal opinion is that it's not a good idea to keep two betta tanks close enough to each other for them to see each other, or to have reflective glass in it's tank.
