Mbuna and swollen anus

Question
My full gown 'Snow White' mbuna has developed a swollen anus.  The area is extremely distended and has caused a misshapen underbelly area.  This seems to have occurred over night!  Thanx.

Hi Brett,
  The usual cause of this sort of a thing is a major problem in the digestive tract.  Solutions are not simple or obvious.  Is the fish "bloated", i.e., suddenly extra large in the belly, or is it the opposite?
