beta fish bowls

Question
I got a fish yesterday, a beta fish. I was told by a friend that putting them in a round bowl with no corners makes them go 'crazy' and they'll only swim in circles, but putting them in a bowl with corners will make them swim in all directions...is this true?

Hi Aanika;

I never heard that one before! I wouldn't worry about it too much. I have kept them in round bowls for years and never had to take mine to the fishy psychiatrist yet. ;-)

The main thing is to keep them very warm and change the water at least once a week. Make sure to use a water conditioner too.
