Medication Recommendation

Question
Though frequent water changes and salt seem to be the preferred treatment of diseases in Juruparoids, are there any medication(s)you would recommend that one should keep on hand in case fish become ill?

Hi Millie,
 I see no reason to use salt on a South American cichlid.  The only medication I ever really use is Rid-Ich and that is only very, very rarely. The best thing is to keep them from getting sick in the first place. Frequent water changes are your best bet.
