Question
QUESTION: Hello again. i am just asking this in a new question, because it won't let me ask another follow - up. but to let you know, my fish is doing much better after just a couple days of treatment. just before i started treatment he had started to grow small blotches fungus, and those are now gone. i will keep medicating him for another couple days to let you know.

I just have one question -
how should i coax him into eating again? he hasnt really eaten much of anything, and i am just wondering if there are things i could do to help.

thanks

you have been extremely helpful with everything

ANSWER: Hi Max,
When a betta is in medication, they seldom eat.  When he will start feeling better he will eat on his own.  Sick bettas do not eat.  This is always a sign that they are sick.  Here is a list of food that bettas should have:
Betta Pellets
Betta Flakes
Plankton Flakes
Daphnia ( this food is very important as it helps his digestive system.)
Bloodworms ( Once or twice a week as a treat.)
Glassworms
Mealworms
Frozen Brine Shrimp
One frozen cooked pea a week with the outer layer removed, and cut into tiny pieces.  Feed the pieces to your betta one at a time, making sure he eats them, and that they do not fall to the bottom of the tank.  On the day you choose to feed him the pea, feed him nothing else for the rest of the day.  This is so he can clean out his system, and avoid Swim Bladder Disease to which the betta is prone.
The more you vary his food, the healthier he will be, as he will get all the vitamins he needs.
Feed him 2-3 times a day.  2 pellets, or 2 flakes for one meal.  We must always remember that the betta's tummy is the size of his eye.  Small meals, and never big meals.
As he gets better, he will eat.  For now continue the treatment, and hopefully soon he will be well again.  Keep me posted, so far he is doing well.  Do not worry about him eating for now.  He will, as soon as he is better, and in clean unmedicated water.  For now, you must continue the treatment.

QUESTION: Ok, are there any stores you would suggest where i can get this? (preferably online)

Answer
Most pet stores sell fish food, dried, and frozen.  Walmart also has fish food. "Hikari" food for fish is a very good mark...also "Nutrafin."  I have never had to order fish food online, but if you put "Best food for tropical fish" on Google, it should bring you to where you can order food online.
