Yellow and black globs on Plecostomus fins

I have a rubber lip plecostomus in a 10 gallon tank with two goldfish. My plecostomus has started growing yellow and black globs on two of his fins. I was wondering what this was and if it is contagious to my other fish.

The only thing I can think of is a viral disease called Lymphocyctis which cannot be cured. If you go to wikipedia.com and search it you will gather lots more info. Out of all the types of freshwater and marine fish I've had, I've never had any of my fish have this, although I've dealt with others. I hope this link will help you. Good luck.
