small black and silver Angel fish

Question
My small black and silver angel fish has some kind of growth completely around its mouth area which seems to be growing faster than it is. For now it seems to be eating all right but it can only open its mouth a little bit. There are several other fish in the tank but none of them are effected. My tank is 55 gallons. I have had it for about 7 years now with no problems. I thank you for any help you may be able to give.

Hi Virginia,
 Sadly I have seen this, but I do not know of anything you can do about it.  Essentially it is a tumor growing around the mouth and it is something that captive bred angelfish sometimes get.
