White sand

I just bought a 15 gallon tank for small cichlids. this is the first tym im using white sand. i have washed the sand upto 4 times. and setup the tank. after 12 hours or so. my tank is still a bit cloudy.... what might be the problem? what should i do in order to make the tank look crystal clear?

Your tank is going through the cycle process, so the cloudiness is normal. It takes 6 weeks and sometimes longer to cycle the tank and there should be no fish in the tank until it has set up. You are going to have a bad bacteria bloom that can kill fish if they are in the tank. The biggest thing with cycling is patients. If you cycle correctly, add 2 fish at a times once it's cycled, and do weekly water changes you should be just fine.
