transport fish

im moving to florida from pittsburgh its gona take 15 hours can i just empty half the water out of my tank and move them like that???

John,  You can certainly do that. You just have to make sure there is plenty of oxygen in the water so I would get a large rubbermade tote , an electric air pump with some line to a bubble stone if walmart doesn't have it petshop will. They will acclimate to the temp drop on the way. If they are small tropicals I might wrap a blanket around them. As soon as you get there make sure you get that heater in there. You know Walmart used to sell these 5 gallon buckets for fish transport here. Check, maybe they have them down there.  Good Luck, Tina
