Is it alright to put Saw Dust on the Cage for love birds to make nest out of it?.. when i put few sawdust on it or "kusot" i notice that they were like eating it. Its my first time to breed Peach faced couple lovebirds. Can somebody help? thanks. Your reply will be much appreciated.

I'm not really a lovebird expert and I hope someone will add to this question who knows a little better than me. If they are eating the sawdust, then I would say to give them shavings instead as it is much harder for them to peck at. You could also mix the sawdust with fine straw or fine shredded newspaper.
It also could be a vitamin or other shortage in their diet that they are not getting. I suggest you go to your pet store and ask if they're got any food supplements for your lovebirds that will stop them needing to do this.
