QuestionWe have 2 minis that we had an ultra sound done on them in Nov.2008.The vet told us they were pregnant and we saw the heartbeats.The last date they were bred was June 17,2008.We have had them up since around the 10th of May,in stalls at night and in the lot during the day.We had the due date as May 26,2009,sometimes their actions we think we will have a faol during the night,get up the next day and nothing.How long can they go and everything be ok and when do we need to worry?They both had foals last year and did just fine.
AnswerSorry i was on vacation. Remember im not a vet but heres what I'm thinking. If they had foals last year were the foals late, early, or on time sometimes being late, early, or on time is consistant. Do both the minis look pregnant or have they started to fill their teats or udders with milk? I would give them another maybe 2 weeks and if theres nothing contact your vet. If the mini starts to go into labor i would recommend keeping a close eye on her to make sure she delivers alright. Hope this helps. Keep me posted
